Modern, Spacious 2BR Apartment with bay Views

Working out that it was the same price as a hotel in the area for our length of stay it was a great option. We would reb Positive: Overall we enjoyed our stay at this accommodation. The view is a definite highlight, with excellent views over Corio bay to Melbourne city and across Geelong that does the heavy lifting. Pros - The view is stunning and speaks for itself - The location is great and most areas are walking distance - Secure parking - Spacious balcony and main living area - Well equipped with consumables like washing powder and baking paper etc. Negative: Cons - The residents are not thrilled with it being an Airbnb and you can feel that - The furnishings are outdated and a little random, it’s like the owner has furnished it with all their own unwanted bits and pieces it kind of ruins the “aesthetic” of a penthouse apartment - The tvs are super old and very hard to work. The main tv has a set top box circa 2000’s on it and it’s impossible to work out how to access free to air tv - It’s clear there is a cleaning company managing the apartment, whilst it was very clean in terms of linen etc. the apartment does need a deeper clean - walls and skirting etc. We had to clean oily face prints off the windows looking at the view

Overall an average apartment with mediocre linen, something one would not expect for a Penthouse. Positive: Location was very central to everything Geelong had to offer. Negative: Was shocked and disappointed by the lack of disclosure on the booking.com booking page by the vendor that a security deposit almost the cost of the stay was a mandatory requirement to stay at the apartment. Was not informed of this until after paying for the stay and awaiting confirmation of booking. Contacted booking.com customer service who stated was a breach of their terms and conditions for their listings on booking.com, but when the lister was contacted was told "if not paid they would cancel booking'. Towels in bathroom were of low quality for a "Penthouse", no different to hospital towels.

We will be back.. Positive: The view, cleanliness, kitchen is complete and tidy. The place is so spacious..

The moment we stepped in and saw the views, it was wow wow wow. Positive: I just love the apartment, the views and the location. Negative: There is no rubbish chute on the floor. Have to take it to level 3.
